Watch out for poorly constructed door

I have had this gas range for about three years now, This product is a good price and does work well, except for two things.... The door is poorly constructed and has come apart several times, such that the glass section falls out and the side metal pieces pop out. We have had to cob together ways of taping and screwing it all back together because the parts are more expensive than the stove itself.Also, if liquid gets down below the burners, there have been times when some of the knobs that turn on the burners won't turn, or at least for a very long time... i e... several months.Otherwise, the stove works, and it cleans fairly easily.... just the door is a real pain.

I had to convert the stove to use LP gas. The instructions were very clear and the process was very simple. The stove has performed as promised. Unless your looking for a lot of "high tech electronics" I would highly recommend this stove.

i had to get a new one because my old one died someone gave me a electric one that did not work so i went to lowes and found this one well it did not work either after 7 days they sent out my new range and i could not be happier to have it.cooks good and bakes perfect

I purchased this Gas Range and am so happy with it. I am an elderly person and find the placement of the knobs to be easier and safer in the front instead of them being on the back panel. too many chances of burning self. The oven door isn't too heavy and seems the shelves The delivery men were kind and very helpful. I just recently purchased a Whirlpool Gas Dryer as well. Naturally be elderly and on a budget was a blow to my funds so the possibility of getting a new refridgerator would be helpful as that is on its last leg as well. thank you so much for allowing this survey to possibly provide someone in need of a new product.

The stove is simple and functions. I like the big broiler drawer and the timer. I don't like that sometimes when I am using the oven, it makes noises. Also, there is no burner for just simmering.

Our landlord purchased this oven from Lowe's and they delivered and installed it with no issues. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the old clunker we had previously. Cookies cook so much quicker and evenly. The only criticism I have is that the power cord is too short. We had to run around looking for a 3-pronged extension cord once the delivery was installed before we could use the oven.

My old range was falling apart. It was Avocado Green, so you know about how old it was. Replaced it with the Whirlpool 30" Standard range-- the very basic model.I was pleased with the following features:1. Electronic lighting on all 4 burners.2. Digital clock and timer.3. Electronic oven controls.4. HUGE oven-- Big enough for the largest turkey and stuffing at the same time.5. 2 oven racks.6. Large broiling space.7. The burners disassemble down to the enameled steel stove surface for easier cleaning than I have ever seen. All burner parts washable. Dis-assembly and re-assembly require no tools and takes seconds for all four burners. All stove top burner parts completely interchangable.The one point that disapointed me was that the stove top does not hinge open for easy cleaning if I spill soup or gravy through the burner, to the space under the enameled stove top. I can't deduct 1/2 star, so I was forced to deduct a full star for that one engineerinf shortfall.A shortfall I have found common to every gas range I have ever seen, is the inability to turn the flame VERY low. The only workable work-around I have found is to turn the gas control back past "light" to almost off. The engineer who fixes this gets two extra stars!

This stove is great for the money. But if you have a tiny skillet on the stove for example, a little cast iron for two eggs, you have a pot holder on the handle, you turn on the stove, and it start with HI, you better be careful, that big flame will come out and catch your pot holder. And when turning off, you have to pass thru Hi again, and same thing, big flame. I was not aware of that, bought over the internet. I prefer to start with LO setting and work up.

We purchased this stove from Lowes last March (2013) it has less than 11 hours on it! The power went out during a storm and the circuit board is fried! The control board display shows " HOT" and the oven will not work! The cook top works fine! We had a repair guy come out who told us that this Model Whirlpool has a serious fault and required a surge protector! Lowes never told us that! The owners manual also does not reflect the need of a surge protector! What a joke, my mother has a stove that is 30 years old and still works fine! We will NEVER buy any Whirlpool product again!

I purchased this a few months ago and I love the way it alerts you when the desired temp in the oven is reached. It cooks great and Im very satisfied. the only thing thats troublesome is the lowest burner setting is still high unless you lift the oventop and use something to manually change the burner valve setting. Would still recomend the oven to others.

I purchased this stove online in January. I've had a gas stove for the past 25 years so was a little anxious about getting a newer one. But, this is a wonderful stove! The displays are easy to read, the functions are easy to understand and perform, and overall very clean-looking. The oven bakes evenly and reaches temperature quickly.

I have no regret that I had bought this Gas Range. The First time I saw it in the Home Depot in St. Croix I fell in love with it and I needed it and was a great buy! It is an excellent stove. I bought this range a little over a month ago and I love it! The easy to use digital control panel is great, there is no guess work on what the pre-heat temp is at any given time, it actually shows the temp on the screen. Clean lines make for easy clean up. Easy gas hook-up.

This product keeps a very steady temperature for cooking. However the design isn't the best. The top gets really hot and I don't like that the bottom drawer is actually the broiler. The broiler pan doesn't fit very well into it and you can't keep the pan in the bottom even when it is on bake or it becomes extremely hot.

I wasn't looking for bells and whistles just reliability and that's what this gas range is. I'm not a fan of the stainless steel look, I love that it's white, it looks fresh and clean and brightens up my kitchen. It does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only very slight issue is that there isn't a low burner that really goes low enough to just keep things warm. I read about that beforehand and decided to purchase the oven anyway as that was not my top priority and easily fixable with a heat diffusion plate. The cooktop cleans very easily, the oven temperature is accurate. I love that the temperature of the oven shows even as it is in the preheating stage so I know how much farther it has to go. I am very happy with my new gas range.

I absolutely love my new Whirlpool gas range. The oven is huge and has room for a turkey and a pie. Its easy to clean with easy wipe able surfaces. You're able to remove the grates and wipe them clean without scrubbing. The full size broiler allows you to toast a whole loaf of garlic bread in a hurry. I am extremely happy with my purchase of this I have not found one bad thing to say about it. A gas range allows for versatility and better tasteing food. The product I purchased is black, I do not recommend black appliances because they are not easily cleaned with soap and water. A separate cleaner is advised so that streaks and soap scum are left behind. All in all it is a great product.

Whirlpool is always dependable, and consumer friendly, this unit is no exception. does as it is designed to do in an easy to operate fashion. This unit does not have a timed bake which I did not notice prior to purchase but otherwise has all the features and functions I wanted and does them well.

If you're looking for a stove that has four burners and an oven - this works well. It does not have an exceptional amount of extra features, but it maintains the proper temperature in the oven and has good solid burner grates (which will hold the biggest pot of sauce...) The outside of the stove does get hot while the oven is on - if you have small kids, you might consider that if the stove's sides will be accessible.

The only thing I would change about this stove is that the heat level of the burners, even at the lowest setting and using a flame-tamer, can be too hot for some tasks. This may be something that can be adjusted. I love having a reliable oven and one that heats and cools quickly.

burners are to hi when on low for simmering so we turn the burner to almost off and oven is noisey when on its like a panel moves up and down when its heating up and cooling down

i like this range just fine! all i wanted was a basic no-frills unit to cook cook on, and that is just what this is. hopefully, the electronics which tell one when the chosen oven temperature is reached, e.t.c., will continue to work for a long time to come! -nice built in timer, too! (EASY TO USE!!)my only minor beefs would be: in order to achieve a really low simmer on the range top, one must stack one of the cast iron 'units' the pots sit on, on top of another. you cannot lower the heat past a certain point! this is no big deal and only a minor complaint.my other beef, slightly more annoying, is the broiler drawer front does not fold down flat, making accessibility (particularly a shallow pan, e.t.c.) somewhat 'unfriendly'!!despite these two minor complaints, the thing is a JOY to use! i don't LOVE it, but DO LIKE it strongly!! -the temperature seems to be regulated 'on the money', too!! -all in all, a really nice, basic machine for the money!!, -just what i wanted!!
