Functional Cooktop that looks and works great

Unit was purchased at a big box store. It replaced an electric cooktop existing in our purchased home. The hardest part of the installation was getting a gas line installed to the cabinet below. Once connected to gas and electricity (for automatic ignition) the cooktop works extremely well. We like it much better than the electric unit and find it both quicker to heat and easier to regulate. The grates are heavy -- good for cooking, not so for ease of cleaning. The unit looks very good in the kitchen. We did not have to modify the opening in the counter top.

No problem with the cooktops functionality. Very disappointed in the products durability. The cooktop is used in a household of 2 mature adults, and is cleaned on a regular basis following manufacturers instructions. After 3 months the entire surface is scratched and water stained. I've attempted to contact whirlpool on multiple occasions, with no success. Wait times are regularly in excess of 25 minutes. Overall, very disappointed with my purchse

We shopped for a while before deciding on this Whirlpool model choosing four burners instead of five. Very happy with the space the functions and the overall ease of use. Especially pleased with how easy it is to keep clean. We set this into a custom island and it fit perfectly. I wish I could find spare parts for the grate feet; after one year the top is still fantastic but the rubber feet on the grates are wearing down and I'd like to find replacements before they become obsolete.

I bought this a couple of months ago from Home Depot. The Depot repairman wasn't able to install it because my cabinets are 16 inches above the stove instead of the required 18 inches, so a buddy installed it for free. However he didn't replace the gas line, so I had to have a company come and change it out to the tune of a couple hundred bucks----so be aware of installation specs when you shop!I love the unit itself. Not only is the stainless steel sharp looking, but it's very smartly thought out in terms of cleaning AND heat displacement. The burners are different heats, which I wasn't used to , but now I love it. Plus if something overboils it stays mostly ON the stovetop instead of leaking down underneath. Also I bought it at 'black Friday", so the price was really good.

My elderly mother's home was furnished with a Builder Grade open burner, low output top. The major reasons to choose this design were safety first, ease of operation and maintenance second and the great bonus is the high output burners! The high capacity wells contain spills & boil overs, the sealed burners also contribute. The design is easy to care for and intuitive.This cooktop is the closest to a pro-series cooktop I could find, yet at an exceedingly generous price. My next project is to replace her "open campfire" gas oven.

We bought the gas cooktop about 7 months ago and are pleased with the features. It was easy to install, has quality aesthetics (especially considering the price), lights and adjusts easily, and has a solid feel. We were initially concerned that the burner grates would slide around and scratch the surface as they did in the store display, but we have had no problems with that. The grates stay in place, and we like the large flat cook area they present which accommodates cookware of all sizes.

I bought my parents home in 97 and I have been cooking on the original 1970 appliances that only had 2 working burners and an oven that had one temperature HOT. My cooktop is amazing it has made cooking a breeze and it's absolutely beautiful. The full size grates are perfect and happy I spent the extra $$ to get them.

Builder installed in new home as upgrade. The grates slide, the flames have two settings low and high. Nothing in between. I do not recommend.

This stove top came equipped in my new kitchen. The power burners boil water in a fraction of the time. Easy to clean. Only wish the meal grates had some sort of silicon feet so it didn't scratch the stainless top

I LOVE THIS STOVE. I have had it for about 3 months and I love it. I wanted to wait to write about it until I had put it to the test. I didn't buy it as a kitchen trophy, although I do enjoy the many compliments it has gotten. I cook. A lot. I reheat, boil, fry, braise, sear, steam... I just canned peaches on this stove using the hot bath method on the BIG burner. I have also used the big burner for corn on the cob, crab legs and pasta. It is great for those times you have large amounts of water you don't want to wait eons for. The grates clean up well and the stainless wipes up beautifully. After 3 months of pretty solid use in many different manners, I would have no issues recommending it.

Upgrading our appliances and found this stove at a great price. Whirlpool products have always served us well so we made the purchase. Once I got it home my husband had it out of the box, installed and working in about ten minutes. There were no adjustments to be made. The stove looks and works great.

Just built a new home and this is my first gas cooktop. I was worried about the open flame with younger children and the cleaning if things fell down around the burners. The ceramic top I had before was so easy to clean. This is not quite as easy, but much better than I expected. I can just take most the parts off and wipe down the top. Then I can just throw the parts in a sink with warm water and soap and it is good to go. The instant heat is great as well. Very nice.

The different size burners, and the full grates, to allow for moving pots without lifting is wonderful. Also the grates, burners, and cooktop clean up really easy and shine like new every time - quite the plus. Like that it ignites on low and then you control the level of flame. Very quiet too. Also the knobs on the side are great for safety with a little one in the house.

The design is cool and modern. Burners are strong and powerful. Price was great! Now the bad parts - wish there was just one simmer burner in the back. And why I would not recommend is this - it scratches so easily (Im amost scared to scub it!), and it always looks smudged and dirty. Not good for a cook top. Also when even just lightly wiping it, I knock off the little plates. Why arent they locked in like all the others? In short, very very hard to clean.

This cooktop came pre-installed by the builder when I bought my home. It is just a basic gas cooktop. It is easy to use and does not take up a lot of space, even underneath. It is a good option if you have a small kitchen and if you are one a budget. One thing I don't like is that the knobs are too close to the burners and tend to get hot. The knobs themselves also feel very cheap and fragile. I also wish the grill came in four quarter pieces instead of the two halves, as it would make them easier to clean. Otherwise, they are too big and I can't soak them in my sink.

Bought this cooktop to upgrade my kitchen and I really like it. The grills have little rubber ends to keep quiet when moving against stainless steel and they are easy to clean. The whole cooktop including the burners are easy to clean.

This refrigerator is the same size as the one it replaced, but seems to have a lot more room. The freezer on the bottom makes it very user-friendly. Very pleased with this purchase.

Pretty good product.. very useful with four burners. The only drawback i would say is that the top grill is not located in the groves and they tend to slide when we move the cooking vessel from one burner to another... apart from that everything else is good.. so far no problems.

For the last several years we have used a glass, electric cook top range. We found it difficult to control the heat level and temperature. This made it impossible to follow directions of recipes that required delicate changes in temperature during the cooking process. In addition, we used no less than six forms of cleaners designed to keep the cook top clean, and none of them worked. The new gas cook top is easy to clean and control the desired level of heat while cooking. It is a super product which makes cooking a real snap.Thanks for the wonderful experience cooking has become!

I take very good care of anything that I own and I expect things to last. I have only use this stove top five times and it looks like I've owned it for years, I'm very very careful I never wipe it with a dry cloth. I only wipe it with a stainless product with a microfiber cloth. The only thing that I like about it is the overall look from 6 feet away
