Have had this washer for a couple months and it washes very well. The only problem I have noticed is the gap in the front door seal holds water. Also have some socks hiding in there. Overall is does a great job and we like it very much(My Wife Especially). It is better then the topload washers.

When I was in need of a new washer, I decided to give Maytag a try. I like the features/cycles on the washer and the capacity is good for washing queen-sized quilts. The normal cycle is fast, even with extra rinse, allowing me to get through my laundry quickly. That is important since I average 15 - 20 loads per week. My only concern is that it is not as quiet as I had expected. Previous front-load washers from another manufacturer ran quieter (until they broke down). It's not excessive, just more than expected. However, I will gladly put up with a little extra noise if the washer holds up over time due to the "commercial technology" used in it.

FANTASTIC FRONT-LOADER

I purchased this machine to replace a top-loader that was only two years old. The performance of the front-loader is far beyond that of the top-loader it replaced. Clothes are almost completely dry when transferred to the dryer and to the clothes are much cleaner too. We have many Maytag appliances in our home and have yet to be disappointed. It is a great machine and looks good also. Wife loves it....!

1st Front Loader for us.

We replaced our old Maytag (15 yrs) with this one. We were a bit hesitant about the front-load option but are pleased so far. Clothes look and smell cleaner. The spin cycle is amazing as clothes are much drier before they are placed into the dryer. Also, it seems we do not have to use as much detergent as what is recommended to get good results. After each cycle there is a small amount of water left on the door seal. We use a paper towel to wipe it up if there will be a pause in washing.

Stopped working in less that a month

Love the wash cycle times, first washer leaked internally and was replaced a within a week after purchasing it. The newest one is louder than first one with lock sound, water filling tub and draining and spinning tub during wash cycle. Doesn't have a light in the wash tub to see inside. So, I hope they do better on upcoming line. I had the Neptune stack by Maytag 16+ years previous which made me buy this one, worked great!

I have never purchased a Maytag but always wanted one because of their reputation and so far it has lived up to it. This machine replaced one I bought 3-4 years ago that still looks brand new but didn't hold up under the daily wash cycles of a family of 6. We bought this washer just a few weeks ago, and the increase in capacity from our old washer (3.1 cu ft) to this one (4.2 cu ft) is huge. We have 5 children and 2 adults, and our family generates a lot of dirty clothes. So far we love the larger capacity and shorter cycle times. The spin cycle is effective, and leaves the clothes with less water in them, thereby allowing our dryer to run less. We are very happy with this machine so far. I hope it lasts a long time!

I've had my Maytag washer for over a month now, and I'm very happy with this machine, my clothes look/feel cleaner! I replaced an old Calypso washer which was a bag of trouble for its duration. Love the sanitation and the steam options. I don't notice any foul smells, I wipe the grey seal and rinse the dispenser drawer after each session (which takes literally 2 mins). It is a bit louder that my previous machine, at times, but zero "walk out" and hardly any obnoxious vibration! My queen comforter fits easily inside. I would definitely purchase this machine again. And I have recommended it to my friends (or anyone who will listen, lol)!!
