We bought this air conditioner for a 600 sq foot space and have been using it in 100 degree weather for about a week straight. It's definitely helped keep the room comfortable. We have turned the unit down to 65, and its kept the room at about 73 degrees. We sleep with it on just fine, it's really no louder than a box fan.

OK UNIT, EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE HOSING!

Purchased this unit, runs fine but had to replace full hosing coming out the back to window: adapters,hose and window slider. After calling and speaking to rep and 2 deliveries totally $250.00 later, I am still missing parts to complete. The window slider alone is 2 separate parts costing $160 to replace.Absolutely ridiculous! I will be replacing the full unit with another Mfr who doesn't try to gouge on replacement parts, very disappointed.

It cools my living room just great.

I bought this product just before the August-September heat wave and am very satisfied with it. I have a large window in my living room which faces west. So, in the late afternoon, the sun shines directly inside. Even with the blinds closed, the heat becomes unbearable. The Frigidaire 12,000 BTU air conditioner solves this problem.

I brought one after using a smaller version 9,700 btu and I am disappointed. This cools for a few minutes than you hear the cooling compressor turn off and it blows warm air for a few minutes before switching back to the cooling compressor. I would be satisfied if it actually stayed on "Cool"

Convenient portable air conditioner

We purchased this in July when we bought a new house, not knowing where we were going to need A/C. Very happy with the portability of it, although it is a bit heavy, but it does a great job cooling down rooms as we need to. Vents easily to an outside window. I would highly recommend this unit.

This unit cools 10 degrees less than the number you put on the dial. When I went to have it serviced, they said this is acceptable working condition, So you decide if that is acceptable to you. It is not to me, it sucks and does not cool a room in a garage 12 x 13. I do lie in FL, and it is summer time, but so what. Once i had a wall unit for $99. and it it cooled my other son's room perfectly. I expected much more for how much this unit cost. It doesn't make the room cold, just cool.

It works well but you will have to make sure your circuit breakers will support the surge. There is a reason why they put in the booklet, "check circuit beakers" if it doesn't turn on. Otherwise, it will cool down a 15x15 room well.

Very reliable, works good, but very loud

Bought this at the beginning of the summer to replace same type but different model. Works like a charm and very reliable, but is VERY loud, so much so that have to turn it off to listen to TV which is 20 ft away. True on all setting including automatic temp. The manual mentions that it makes loud noises which are normal - but if I would have known that before hand may have considered other options Recommend highly if you don't mind the noise!

I bought this to cool a cabin in northwestern Wisconsin where there is little shade and temps can reach in the 90's inside. I'm in the process of insulating the ceiling but in the interim needed something to cool the rooms off. The unit sets up easily and runs quietly. The space being cooked is about 2.5 times larger than the square feet it is rated for bit handles this with the aid of some ceiling fans. The only issue which can be overcome, is that the exhaust tube tends to pop out of the window panel is the unit is moved. The value received for price is definitely there.

NYC can be deadly hot in the summer. I love this one because it was easy to install to the window. The heavy lifting is only during buying from store to home. At home this badboy rolls easily if you wanna install it to another window! It cools my large apartment, sometimes too cold... I had to turn it down. I lovvvvve it.

I bought this about a month ago and I am happy with the purchase. It cools my bedroom down very well. The only thing that I dislike about this, is installing the hose to the window attachment. Attaching the hose to the slots in the window guard are a little troublesome, other than that I like the air conditioner.

Runs nice but has installation flaws

The unit seems to run nicely, but the window slat and exhaust hose do not adapt well to my 42-inch, chest-high, bedroom window. The long vertical drop of the hose puts strain on the connection to the vent, and I need to use duct tape to secure it. I would prefer to pay an extra $5 or so for metal connections. In this case, saving a few cents in production costs just cheapens the product and lessens its desireability. This problem is not unique to your A/C.

Purchased this in June to use in my garage. Since I purchased I have insulated my garage door and over the garage in attic. It cools 74* and is more comfortable to work in my garage. In emergency (blackout) I have an a/c to cool one room. Happy with my purchase.

Very disappointed w/ this product. Cooling power is good, noise is minimal. However,the exhaust vent to outside falls out of window holder AND the back of unit. A clear design flaw since the collapsible vent is both too heavy and too torqued to remain in place. AND this problem recurred on the 2nd unit we ordered after returning the first.Would not purchase this unit again!
